Ideas for the Right Curtain Length
Floor to ceiling
If your home has windows that span from the floor to ceiling, you’ll want curtains that cover the entire length for maximum light control and privacy. This is especially true for windows in a bedroom. Curtains for this type of window will look best when the panels break within an inch of the floor.
Installing hardware above the window frame
An easy way to make a room appear more spacious is to install the hardware above the window frame. Many people choose to install drapes just below the ceiling to make the space look taller. If that’s not your preference, install yours at least four inches above the frame for the best look.
Puddling drapery
Allowing your drapes to form a puddle on the floor is a beautiful way to use luxe fabrics, like silk or satin. A pool adds a touch of sophistication to formal dining areas and sitting rooms. As a general rule, we advise against this style in high-traffic rooms or homes with kids or pets, as the excess fabric can collect dirt and be a trip hazard.
Shorter lengths
